80% of Americans Think That Medical Scientists Act in the Public's Best Interest

80% of Americans think that medical scientists act in the public's best interest. 77% of the military, 77% general scientists. Only 70% in police officers. 53% religious leaders and 44% journalists. 28% elected officials. And so here we are starting to see some big political polarization when it comes to public policy debates about scientific issues.
