The Importance of Customization in Building Homes

I saw a ton of opportunity to improve. I worked there thinking these guys have the solution to the problem, and I left that internship thinking this isn't the solution. There's kind of two parts to it. How do we build homes in a factory more like how cars are made? So like, you know, true design for manufacturability, design for scale, and design for automation. And then there's a second part, which is how do you do that while you're not building the same car or same home a hundred thousand times. This is where the customization comes in.
