The most common reason a startup fails is that they didn't do what it says on the t-shirt, which is make something people want. I always felt like my number one thing was to force founders to have the realization that no one wants what they're making. Sometimes there's a pet idea where you think it's like a cool idea, but it sort of turns out that it's not a thing that anyone really actually wants in reality. Sounds familiar? A genre example of this would of course then be back to Dordash.
