The Myth of Artistic Behaviors

Artistic people and children are not interested in having loving, trusting relationships with other people. People on the autism spectrum may have some of those same challenges, but not as persistent. Once we say an artistic behavior is pathologized, it gives you a lot of permission to do things that really don't matter at all. The whole notion of relationship based upon trust has been broken down by this myth. How can i know if I'm helping someone who cannot help me? And what kind of assistance will they be willing to get for me? It's our job to make them feel safe enough to let us into their world again.
