What Causes Inflation?
The government ordered people not to go to work. The government decided to print a bunch of money and send it out to people in the form of stimulus checks or enhanced onemployment benefits. That's what causes inflation. Had the government not done any of that, covin wouldn't have resulted in inflation. It was only the government's decision to force demand down and supply up. And the same thing is going to happen because of these price shocks that are the result of russia invading ukraine.
