Exploratory Engineering: A Methodological Approach to Engineering
Exploratory engineering is about figuring out stuff that might be possible to do by trying to do engineering, even though we can't do it yet. And then you sketch out how to build something the size of a planet or how to move a galaxy. It might end up with an actual literal blueprint for devices for moving galaxies. But sometimes you do it on a loses scale. You base it on well understood physics that we know has to be true and well understood engineering principles. That means that we could move the galaxies or we could build that kind of system.
