The Importance of Culture in Coaching
The style of play at all comes from the environment you create as a coach. That environment is backed up by the cultural norms that coaches grow up in, I'm guessing in China that the cultural norm is very top-down, it is quite submissive from learners. In Thailand one of our coaches went to the FA and he did all the FA youth modules he did some of the courses which kind of says give the players ownership,. but then when he went back to Thailand he was told he was wrong and he folded and reverted back to the command style. For example when I go to Thailand I'm not going to fold because my belief and my understanding stands from years of research within this belief
