The Secular Project and the 30 Years War

secularity in its original form was to say we are going to tolerate other Bible believing Christians who have differences slight differences in theology. And so we're going to be tolerant of other Christian groups and that was the basis of the secular project. I think it more started or the seeds of it were certainly planted in the Treaty of West failure and the resolutions of the 30 years war. So even today the 30 years War is still culturally remembered as being if not the worst war that Germans have ever participated in.
