However for file names or things where i'm going to be sorting by file name I know I want this stuff to be sort of well then yeah year month day with hyphens And then use spaces like in like an adult and you'll kind of do whatever you want after that It depends a lot on context. If you're relying only on creation date in the file system to indicate when something was made...that's not represented actually in the file.
