Subtracted Colour Mixing
We talk about adding blue and red together to make purple. But confusingly, hat's actually happening to the light that we're seeing is this business of color subtracting. The more you add, the further you get from white by deduction. And then so ultimately, could you end up with black by by mixing enough colours in? Yet, if you mixed enough colours and they were all and you got to the point where they were all perfectly absorbing, in theory, you could get back toa black. In reality, it's more a sludgy brown.
