If we were to re wind the film of human evolution back to the beginning and start anew people with a very different set of moral values, might well have evolved. If there is no god in any basis for regarding the herd, morality evolved by homosapiens as objectively true, seems to have been removed. Richard dargan's assessment of human worth may be depressing, but why on atheism is he mistaken when he says there is a in no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but pointless indifference?
