The level right before the castle is just, you're not in a cave any more. Speclly wants you to do all the secrets. If you haven't done the secrets, it's like rel till be quicker. There are so many optios, optionald lateral explaration, back and forth of getting the switch palace. It really speaks to like this, this game is so loosely broken up into worlds,. Like, you can't, you letitik. if you take one path, it's not even really that much of a secret path. And i don't know why, i think they were just like, we can't do caves. We got to get out of it
