The Limitations of Your Short Term Memory

Your genetics play a big role in how you store your memories. Learning something new requires proteins to be synthesized in the brain within minutes of training, or else the memoryis lost. Some people are better at making those proteins. That's one of the reasons we all produce those proteins. Otherwise we wouldn't remember anything. It could be the case that stephen is just better at moving memories from short term to long term memory. But recall isn't all memory. You have to pay attention in the first place, right? So attention is very important. And it's basically the gatekeeper for our brain, or the information coming in through our eyes and ears and in our senses.
