The Limitations of Your Short Term Memory

Your genetics play a big role in how you store your memories. Learning something new requires proteins to be synthesized in the brain within minutes of training, or else the memoryis lost. Some people are better at making those proteins. That's one of the reasons we all produce those proteins. Otherwise we wouldn't remember anything.
