The Importance of Serving and Love Others
God suffering empties out the heart of its pride and prayer calls Christ into that space, which is why we are told to rejoice to God in our trials. The smaller the vessel the less that it can hold. If I'm solid there's not much room to hold Christ. But if there's a little hollow part in me, you know, like the God shaped hole in my heart, then that gets filled up with God. And this marriage with God is salvation and it is heaven. Be it in this life or the next. He isn't saving us from himself. He's saving us from us.
