Is Turbo Tax a Tax Extension?
If you, like me, are english or spanish, the government just works out how much you owe for you. It's called a return free tax filing. But that's never going to happen here. The company who owns turbo tax makes billions of dollars from making it complicated and forcing you to use their soft ware. They really want people to hate paying taxes so that they can persuade them that taxes are too high. And then there's an article of faith among anti tax republicans that if paying taxes was easy and invisible, then people wouldn't hate it so much.
