Is There a Libertarian Solution That Works?
I don't think that you can have a liberal order with no institutions that engage in violence of any kind or that don't respond to violence, some with some kind of violence and rectification of disputes. And it's part of the reason that I think the project, the political project that a libertarian radical should be devoted to is not just a negative one of, we'll hear all the unjust institutions of the state. Those are the ones that we should tear down. But it should also be a positive one of, well, what are the kinds of things that we want to see instead? To the extent possible, trying to build those in the here and now, that's a lot easier
