Is There a Recommended Layering Technique?
In my mind, the ideal way to place supposed to your composite class would be to place a lot of small increments and build up such that you're building up to tooth without ever tying cusses together where you're putting significant stresses on the tooth. So what we teach is an incremental technique with the oblique layers. And the purpose of that, we get a layer down on the gingival, I mean the floor, the gedival floor,. Then we build up in oblique layers with the idea being not to tie the buckling little cusps together until the end. It's time consuming but most people are not going to follow that.
