Venture Capital - Can Managers Help if They Don't See the Opportunity?

A lot of founders have been led to believe that somehow the venture industry is going to slow down for a long period of time. And we probably will see a block buster years next year, where we're setting new records because so much money is sitting in the dry powder reserve. But i don't know exactly, when you have the public markets trading off in a forty, 50, 60, 70 %, how much is that going to squeeze wht's ultimately happened in the private markets as well? Will there be this divorce that exists between public market valuations and private market valuations for an extended period of time?
