The Strange First Half of Baseball

I feel like there's an abnormally large amount of high scoring innings occurring in these games across the league where maybe it's teams that are, you know, like conceding losses. I also wonder if the 100 pitch count number, which has been around for a long time but is very rare, does something with fatigue and those sort of things. There's a lot of rule changes and tweaks for a game that to me was not broken. And it's really affected a lot of things, including the ridiculous time violations and automatic strikeouts for cleaning up hitters that seem to happen regularly.
