What's the Relationship Between Geology and Radiometric Date?
Geologists can deduce which came first, sedimentary layers or the igneous rock. We know that the sedimentary layers had to come first, right? Ase tes go squarting up and between them, exactly. So in effect, by applying these fairly simple principles, superposition way up, cross cutting relationships, we can work out the sequence of layers. But it's an independent, it's a separate question. It's independentay, we don't have to buy into the radiometric dates.
