The Importance of Talent in Art
A great work is something that tells us something about the meaning of life or it explains to us what the point of life. Why can't we have the conversation still even though we also have different criteria for evaluating? I resent a culture which sort of belittles me bringing in the personal the emotional and is almost forcing me to value this simply based on the paint the brush strokes of the art. And if looking at Titian brings you to I forgot her first name Gentileschi Artemeschi Gentileschi doing that beautiful painting of her throwing the man who raped her down a well does she stab him first I can't remember maybe she does.
