The Importance of Gods in the Old Testament

Lee: I remember reading the Old Testament and kind of the impressions that I got from it were that, you know, attitudes towards deities, gods, and socials aren't quite the same as they are today. For example, you had like national gods. Every kind of tribe had its own particular God. It would kind of lead them into war and deliver their victory. These were reflections of the regions and cultures. Their gods were essentially echoes of the flavor of tribe that it was. But I don't think people have like this kind of die-hard development towards one god or the other at that time.
