We see the Apostle Paul laying out our need for mercy. Mercy is typically defined as the compassionate treatment of those in distress especially when it is within one's power to punish or harm them. The word mercy derives from the root words which would literally could be translated price paid. So are we all each one of us desperate and living in desperate need for the mercy of God?
