The Fed's Task Force on Real-Time Retail Payments
The Fed in 2014 set up a task force with many participants from the private payments community. They were given very high marks for the proposal and they went ahead and launched it. Now here we are, the Fed has been experimenting and had 57 odd trial participants,. Many fewer than RTP, the private arrangement now has quite a few participants.
