How Did This Shape in the Sky Change Indigenous Australian Astronomy?
The shape of the emu in the sky changed as time went on. This signified to us the male emu sitting on the nest. And this really clever use of this dark eme constellation, of dark constellations as a whole. It sounds very unique to indigenous australian astronomy,. compared to, let's say, ancient greek astronomy, or astronomy in the northern hemisphere. So it comes back to the cultural need for astronomy.
