The Stroke of Ralph L. Sackle

Ralph Sackle was the first neurologist to serve as president of the AHA. He wrote seminal paper now cited over 850 times a few years before graduating from medical school. Ralph would spend a lifetime mentoring, writing letters of recommendations and supportive applicants. On January 17, 2023, holding the hand of his beloved husband and surrounded by his loving family, he died at home in Amma Gansett, New York.
