Yes Minister is a comedy show about a member of Parliament, a minister in the government. The main characters are the MP and his permanent secretary. It's interesting that the comedy can kind of reveal the truth, but it somehow, because it's comedy, people don't take it seriously. If you're looking for an interesting bit of British comedy to watch that's really well written then that's a good one.
