The Limits of Natural Experiments
I think we have a sense that that's more or less impossible to learn about the impacts of diet or many other things from that type of analysis, but not everyone would agree with that. And so in a lot of places, you're taking advantage of something where nature has randomized it for you. But there are many things that nature doesn't randomize for us. There might be some classes where there is a child with a peanut allergy just by chance. So yeah, it's random, but it's not going to matter.
