Astrobiology is the study of the living universe. We have yet to find even a little speck of life beyond earth. Kevin Hand got his bachelor's from Dartmouth in physics with a minor in astronomy and studied some psychology in there as well. He went on to get a master's at Stanford in mechanical engineering with a focus on robots. His dissertation was titled on the physics and chemistry of the ice shell and subsurface ocean of Europa.
