The Difference Between Utilitarianism and Altruism
I've been playing with this related idea of not, not trying to answer the question of how moral should I be in. There's a distinction you can make between between ways of approaching utilitarianism or effective altruism as well. So obligation is the more traditional, like, these are rules and I have an obligation to follow them. And opportunity is more like looking around the world for good bargains that don't require much effort on my part.
