The Importance of Discovery
I grew up with a father who's a physicist and an older sister who was a mathematician. I didn't think of myself that way at all, so it was a surprise to me when I discovered my passion for organic chemistry. It keeps coming back to the central message: It's all about the discovery. That's what matters. Yeah, it's going to take a generation or shift. And work, yeah. But we can change things if they actually undermine scientific progress," he says.
