If God cannot change the past and yet our prayers can affect past people and events doesn't that suggest all things are predestined instantaneously at the time of creation or there is an infinite number of alternate timelines and alternate universes? No, it actually wouldn't suggest either one of those things. It would suggest that God makes all of history all at once in a single moment which is kind of like he gets a big bucket of history and just splat throws it against a wall but that doesn't mean he is individually fixing everything that happens in that history. From his timeless perspective all times are equally present and equally real to God
