Shareholders Want to Take Action on Climate Change Resolutions

Every spring, publicly traded companies hold meetings with their shareholders to vote on issues the shareholders have raised that they want the companies to act on. Not all resolutions end up getting a vote; in fact, often companies will agree to do something that shareholders are asking in exchange for the shareholders pulling the resolution. One example is, amazon has pledged to have net zero carbon emissions tied to its shipments of goods to customers and it has said it aims to get half way there by 20 30.
