The Fed produces 45,000 different pieces of economic data that they report on. If you put all of these data points in a blender and regress them against the S&P 500 over the last 100 years, some correlations are going to be meaningless. The flip side is also problematic. You've got some theory about the golden mean or whatever sort of fanciful idea you have but that needs to be backed up by the data.
