The Ottomans Supporting the Germans in the First World War

The Ottomans had a previous relationship with Britain or at least the Brits had a policy way back in the 19th century to maintain the coherency of the Ottoman state as a bulwark against Russia. The idea was that the Germans would be like a buffer where the Russians would not encroach because you know you don't want to go in direct conflict with your neighbor. They didn't anticipate that the the Germans had different intention and they invaded the French which called it an invasion on Britain so did the British and the French were involved in the war.
