The Importance of Evidence

Scientists agree that evidence is required, or at least most of the time. Most scientists don't need to know precise details of how evidence works - just like a pilot needs to understand exactly how jet engines work. Dark matter has been a perennial source of headlines and hot takes for decades now. It's an easy-to-very hypothesis, by which I mean there are lots of different models of dark matter that might fill the bill. But none so far have actually been able to solve the problem that we have.
