Introduction
NATO is doubling down on its pledge to eventually grant Ukraine membership. At the time US officials acknowledged that Attempting to bring the country into the alliance could spark a war in the region. The NATO foreign ministers which includes Anthony Blinken the secretary of state issued a joint statement saying that they reaffirm the decisions made at that 2008 summit.
