You're much better off foregoing your ego,. engaging from a place of curiosity and genuinely work together to try to find the truth of something. If they're losing an argument, runs away. Ad hominum ducs it interpersonally. But as you shrink the group sizes down to just one on one, reacting and listening and shutting up becomes increasingly more important for for the relationship then it does.
