On May 5th, Cinco de Mayo, was the official end of the COVID-19 health emergency. Endemic just means it's continuously spreading within a population,. It doesn't have to be reintroduced. Last week there were 441,290 new cases worldwide. So it still sounds like a pandemic. I mean, certainly they declared the pandemic long before those numbers started happening.
