The Importance of Listening

When negotiating with someone, you need to combat your natural inclination to wait for your turn to talk and instead listen to the other side. The way I can change my mindset is focus on repeating back to them what their position is. And then if I always try to repeat that back to them and say, do I understand that you just said and repeat it back to them, that helps me personally stay very focused on listening to what they said.
