The Clinical Benefits of Paying for a True Check Test
Dr Paul Korns is worried the test might find circulating cancer cells, but then it's highly unlikely to pinpoint where the tumor is. For every thousand people given this test, 44 in the trial done in India will test positive. We know that about a year later, of those 44 people, one will have had a diagnosed cancer. Do I think this is great science that has the potential to change screening? Absolutely. But for the moment, I think it's too early, and I wouldn't take it myself.
