The Effect of Ancestors on Georgie Borges

Gloria Borges: I love the word fiction as a way just to describe Borges' writing. He was frightened of mirrors, even shrinking from his own image when he saw it on a polished mahogany furniture in his bedroom. The sort of honor undermined Borges's faith in himself to such a degree that he felt he could not be truly loved by his parents. In one of his poems he would in mirror the magic because you dare multiply the number of things we are and which define us.
