The Intransigent Members of Both Parties Want to Get This Done
The odds continue to improve slightly that we'll get a deal in a week or two. Both sides genuinely do not want to see that default, says CNN's Lisa Kogan. The one that could snag this whole thing is a proposal to cut back dramatically on the IRS funding as you mentioned. But I'd say they're there. They probably have at least half of a deal done.
