Are You a Hermit?
In the modern world, it's pretty hard to imitate anything that happened historically. But there are people in the rest of the world outside the Western world who in effect society's sanctions, their aramitism. It was always a tension between is the hermit spiritual and therefore safe commodity, or is he some kind of secret heretic? And I think that affected much of the thinking of the church with regard to aramitism later as well.
