Gum and a Dog

Thieves at Ashdown stole a gun slot machine from the Frisco station and a dog, which was changed, chained to a caboose that stood at the station. I feel like this was like a 1915 mad lib. Of course, Larceny is is most reprehensible, but if a man must steal, he might as well steal sensibly. And it does not seem that a thief who possesses a good supply of chewing gum and a reason and a reasonably good dog is prepared for almost any emergency. That's like MacGyver philosophy. What can't you do? The sky's the limit if you got a cane and some gum.
