Planet Narnia: A History of the Seven Deadly Sins

The Seven Heavens, the Seven Planets of Medieval Cosmology are what in fact give the Narnia chronicles their coherence and their unity. C.S. Lewis was a brilliant man who taught philosophy at Oxford for 30 years before finishing his career at Cambridge. Tolkien didn't much like that they shouldn't really jostle first space in the same room. And I myself once made a half-hearted attempt to link the chronicles of Narnia to different plays by Shakespeare because there are a lot of Shakespearean illusions in the books. But then when I was halfway through my PhD researches, I stumbled uponwhat I believe is the real answer.
