The Irony of Starting an Open Source Project
I don't think that anybody is really starting these projects thinking like, I'm going to try and get rich off of this. It's weird because usually some company will come along and be like, we're just going to do this and steal all your business away. If you end up taking an open source project and then trying to build a business out of it and you become CEO and it becomes successful, you basically stop writing code like CTO is now a coding job. So it's a it's a weird curse.
