The subtitle of the book is a the end of empire and the birth of neo liberalism. The first set of empires that i talk about are indeed the ones that ended after the first world war. And there it's really the european overseas empires in africa, the caribbian and asia that de colonize in the course of the fifties and sixties. There's a way that the decolonization of the overseas european empires after 19 forty five is is the time when this really becomes a kind of breaking point for some of the philosophies that i'm that I'm uncovering here.
