Breast Cancer Incidence Among Asian American Women
Breast cancer incidence has been increasing among both Asian American women and women in Asian countries. Foreign born Asian women appear to be at higher risk for breast cancer compared to US born Asian women regardless of the length of stay in the United States. The highest incidence rates are not always seen in those age 65 years old or older. These data underscore the need for early screening in this population to allow for timely detection of breast cancer.
