Turn Your Attention Into the Truth
To recognize ourselves as the truth, we need to subside back within. And we can subside within only by turning our attention within. So in a certain sense, we can never get closer to the truth than we are already. Because we're already that. But because we have risen as ego, we seem to have separated ourselves from the truth but we actually are.
